I was excited to hear the recent news from Variety that a new Dune prequel TV series called “Dune: The Sisterhood” is in the works! This series will be inspired by the Sisterhood of Dune novel and will explore the story of the main Dune character, Paul Atreides, 10,000 years before his time. With the Dune universe expanding, I can’t wait to see what this new series has in store.
Ramayana – An Epic Production 🎥
Bollywood Hungama reported that the budget for the upcoming Ramayana film is nearly double the original estimate. Not only that, but the post-production work alone is expected to take 600 days! This just goes to show the incredible scale and ambition behind this global-level cinematic endeavor. I’m truly amazed by the meticulous planning that is going into making Ramayana a true masterpiece.
Pushpa 2 Loses Its Editor 📽️
I was disappointed to hear that the editor for Pushpa 2, Anthony, has had to step away from the project due to scheduling conflicts. With Anthony also working on the Varun Dhawan film Baby John as both an editor and associate producer, it seems his schedule was just too hectic. However, the filmmakers have pivoted to National Award-winning editor Naveen Nooli, who has worked on great projects like Rangasthalam and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. I’m confident Naveen will bring his expertise to make Pushpa 2 shine.
Kalki’s Animated Prequel is Coming! 🎬
I just learned that an animated prequel to the Kalki movie is on the way, and I’m really intrigued! Apparently, this prequel will consist of 4 episodes, each 20-25 minutes long, that will be released leading up to the main film. This shows how serious the filmmakers are about building out the Kalki universe and setting the stage for the movie. I’ll definitely be sure to watch this prequel to get fully immersed before the big release.

I was excited to hear the news that director Priyadarshan is teaming up with Saif Ali Khan and Bobby Deol for a new thriller film. The poster for the sports drama ‘Chandu Champion’ has been released, and I’m seriously impressed by Kartik Aaryan’s physical transformation for the role. He’s gone from 39% body fat down to just 7%! This film is based on the life of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist and Padma Shri awardee. With director Kabir Khan at the helm, I have no doubt this will be an inspiring and powerful story brought to life on screen.

Two exciting trailers have recently dropped – ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’ starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, and ‘Turbo’ starring the legendary Mammootty. ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’ looks like a heartwarming story about two cricket enthusiasts who share the same first name, ‘Mahi’. I’m intrigued by the twist in the plot where Rajkummar’s character pursues his dream of becoming a cricketer through Janhvi’s character. As for ‘Turbo’, the trailer promises an action-packed, comedy-drama extravaganza. Mammootty’s powerful presence at 73 years young is truly impressive!
